If you believe in what your saying then the audiance will at least respect that. Pausing between points and giving the audiance a chance to keep up with you. Gesturing with your hands and making eye contact even in a crowd. Gesture in one direction while looking in the opposite directly at someone. Sort of like a magician using misdirection and then turning back will bring your point home. Allowing the audiance to partipate in thinking about a solution to a problem will hold attention. Most important speak slowly and earthly. Remember an audiance attention span can be based on the melodic notes in your voice. Or else you will loose them. Avoid the $10.00 words, and people will relate.
